Galio Group has launched the second sales phase of its Mosso residential development, introducing an additional 80 apartments to the market in response to strong buyer demand. During the first three months following the start of construction, nearly one-third of all apartments in the low-rise project, located in Burbiškės Forest Valley, were sold.
Situated just minutes from Vilnius’ Old Town, the development is attracting both families and first-time homebuyers. According to Galio Group, the strong level of interest reflects a broader global trend: a growing desire for healthier and more peaceful living environments close to urban green spaces, without sacrificing the convenience and vibrancy of city life.
“At the start of construction, we introduced 85 apartments across three residential buildings. As construction progresses, we have now launched sales of an additional 80 units,” says Eglė Šimkienė, Head of Sales at Galio Group.
“We have offered a wide variety of apartment sizes and layouts, and we are seeing demand across all segments. Within just three months of construction commencing, we sold nearly one-third of all apartments planned for the project. This level of demand reflects a global trend driven by increasingly fast-paced lifestyles: homebuyers are placing greater value on living environments where nature forms part of everyday life. Numerous studies have demonstrated that proximity to green spaces contributes to lower stress levels, improved physical and mental well-being, and a higher quality of life. As a result, demand for such homes – and their long-term value retention potential – continues to grow, and Vilnius is no exception.”
Forest Living Just Minutes from the Old Town
The first six low-rise residential buildings comprising 165 apartments are currently being developed within the nearly five-hectare Burbiškės Forest Valley site. The first phase is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, with further development planned in subsequent stages.
“The site selected for Mosso is located remarkably close to Vilnius’ Old Town, while at the same time being surrounded by forest and a unique landscape shaped by glacial activity thousands of years ago,” explains Šimkienė.
“Although the area is located near the city centre, it has remained secluded and exceptionally green. Preserving and responding to the surrounding environment therefore became a key design principle. The decision was made to develop three-storey residential buildings that integrate naturally into the landscape, complemented by open courtyards and private landscaped terraces. Mosso offers residents the opportunity to enjoy life surrounded by nature without giving up the conveniences of the city.”
Early Demand Driven by Residents of Southern Vilnius
Mosso offers apartments ranging in size from 25 to 76 sq. m, with prices starting from EUR 91,500.
According to Šimkienė, the typical Mosso buyer is already living in the southern part of Vilnius and appreciates the advantages of the area. Many are seeking larger homes or improved living conditions for themselves and their families while remaining in a neighbourhood they already know well.
“A significant share of buyers are purchasing their first home and, with a long-term perspective in mind, are opting for more spacious apartments. Interestingly, many of our buyers are pet owners, making the immediate proximity of the forest a particularly attractive benefit for daily walks and outdoor activities,” she says.
Designed by AIF LT and DNA Studija, the modern residential quarter will ultimately be connected by a unified infrastructure network. A traffic-calmed internal street and pedestrian pathways will run throughout the development, while landscaped recreational areas, active leisure spaces and children’s playgrounds will create a cohesive and community-oriented living environment.
Investment in the first phase of the Mosso development is expected to reach nearly EUR 20 million, excluding VAT. Construction works are being carried out by general contractor Gilesta.
