GALIO GROUP received building permit for residential project “CityZen”

The real estate developer GALIO GROUP received a building permit for construction of a new residential project “CityZen” in the central part of Vilnius, Šeimyniškių Street. The project will consist of 274 apartments to be constructed in two phases and approximately 1,900 m2 of commercial premises on the ground floors of the buildings.

The A++ energy efficiency class apartment complex “CityZen” will consist of 7 blocks of flats with underground car storage facilities and service and commercial premises on the ground floors. In order to preserve the perimeter type of development in Šeimyniškių Street, 6–8  storey building blocks have been designed along the street and 5 storey buildings – in the inner part of the territory.

“Since the project is being implemented in a densely populated area of the capital city, we designed it working very closely with Vilnius City. We paid special attention to the type of development, the quality of the architecture, the internal spaces and the infrastructure of the residential complex, so that it fills in and integrates harmoniously into this urbanised area of Vilnius. We chose solid finishing materials for the expressive facades of the complex, designed very spacious balconies so that the pulse of the city can be felt,” says Aurimas Martinkėnas, Director of Real Estate Projects at GALIO GROUP.

The project developed by Aketuri Architektai and Viltekta will have apartments ranging from 25 m2 to 102 m2. In the inner part of the complex there will be 24 non-standard two-storey dwellings with individual British-style courtyards with a total ceiling height of up to 5 metres. All apartments are designed with balconies or terraces, and the inner part of the complex will have landscaped recreational and leisure areas for residents. On the ground floor from Šeimyniškių Street, retail and service premises will be located, with additional spaces adjacent to the buildings, which could accommodate outdoor terraces or public leisure areas.

According to A. Martinkėnas, preparatory works are currently underway and a general contractor will soon be sought to meet expectations. Only after the signing of the contract with the partners will the amount of the investment and the specific timeframe for implementation become clear. The provisional start of construction of the first phase of “CityZen” is expected in the fourth quarter of this year.
